Even though there have been a few twists and turns, the Monogatari Series has been quite ‘comfortable’ so far. All of that is about to change. This week I’m plunging into the Suruga Monkey Arc in Bakemonogatari in order to explore what makes it so different to the other two. In this episode I discuss the crucial change in storyboarders for this arc, how this arc takes us out of our comfort zone, action animation and more!
Staff Mentioned: Tatsuya Oishi, Nobuyuki Takeuchi, Michio Fukuda, Jun Fukuda, Toshimasa Suzuki, Tomoyuki Itamura, Hironori Tanaka, Gen’ichirou Abe.
